Our next employee feature is finally here! Meet Kelly Wanvig.
Kelly is an all around great guy who was born and raised here in Calgary. This tall, athletic addition to our team likes candlelit dinners and long walks on the beach. ;) Luckily for us, he also cares deeply about safety.
Kelly brought his deep knowledge and care about safety to our AIP classes in 2014 and has been teaching classes here ever since. Before joining the team here, Kelly was a Captain with the Calgary Fire Department and he brings a great deal of hands-on safety training and first-hand experience to our classrooms. With 30 years as a firefighter, he has specialized experience in safety, search and rescue training development and handling hazardous materials.
If you have taken one of our safety courses, then you may have had the pleasure of learning from Kelly. His sense of humor, knowledge, and stories lead to a memorable course every time. He is an instructor in our Fall Protection and Aerial, Confined Space Entry, Fire Extinguisher, Bucket Truck, OSSA, and Elevated Work Platform courses.
When Kelly isn't busy saving lives and training people, he is playing or watching sports and spending time with his son, daughter and two granddaughters. They would like you all to know that he is the world’s greatest Grandpa.
